What is a ISRC code and what is it for?

What is a ISRC code and what is it for?

The ISRC code (International Standart Recording Code) is used to identify every song. So every single song brought out should get its own ISRC.

And by the ISRC it is possible to analyse played music on radio by title and not just by label.

Through the ISRC we can pay the artist for played music on radio.

The ISRC is requiered for digital radio distribution / radio promotion and digital distribution.
